From your first visit to Southern Illinois Worship Center, we want you to feel like you’ve come home! We hope you’ll give us an opportunity to show you what makes this church so special. We know that relationships with other people and with Jesus Christ are what we desire and need. Together, we celebrate Jesus through authentic praise and worship and timely and relatable messages in a warm and welcoming environment. Children and teenagers are high priority at SIWC as well, and they receive the same welcome on a level that relates to them.

We know attending a new church or attending church for the first time may be intimidating. To help you feel more welcome, our volunteers (iServe teams) are on hand to assist you. From the moment you enter the parking lot, iServe team members will help you find a parking spot, greet you as you enter, and help direct you. These volunteers were once first-time guests themselves and want to make your first visit a welcome and comfortable experience.

You will want to make a stop at the Connections Desk in the main foyer to pick up a special welcome gift. Connections Desk team volunteers are available to answer questions and direct you to various locations on campus such as Worship Center Kids, restrooms, and the main auditorium. And, don’t forget to stop by Java Jireh in the main foyer to pick up a free cup of coffee just for newcomers.

If you need any special accommodations during your visit, please let any iServe team member know and they will see that you get the assistance you need.

Our mission is to be a church on purpose, leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We welcome you to join us as we pursue a closer relationship to Christ and others by worshiping together, serving together and enjoying life . . . together!

Welcome Home!

We’re so glad you’ve decided to visit us! You’ll find a list of commonly asked questions below. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call at (618) 942-3636 if you need assistance or have other questions.

How do I get there?

You can find our location on the map on this page. If you need further directions, please give us a call.

Where should I park?

When you arrive to campus, you’ll be directed where to park by our volunteer parking crew.  If you have a special need, please let a team member know when you arrive.

What should I wear?

Our church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. From suits to shorts, we welcome you.

What should I do when I arrive?

After you park, come on in and stop by the Connections Desk for a newcomer’s gift and for directions and assistance.

What is a typical service like?

While each service is unique and we want to be sure we are heeding the movement of the Holy Spirit, we do have a program that we typically follow. Our services usually begin with announcements, followed by praise and worship. Our praise and worship frequently features contemporary Christian music with a full band, but we occasionally bring in favorite hymns.  We then have opening prayer, followed by a sermon and closing prayer. Services last approximately 90 minutes. To view recent services, click here.

What children’s programs are provided?

Our dedicated children’s and youth leaders and volunteers provide services for children that are just as authentic and informative as “big church”. Children have the opportunity to participate in praise and worship, crafts, lessons, prayer and testimony time.

On Sundays, we offer programming for children from newborn through 8th grade. Our youth group attends regular church on Sundays. On Wednesdays, we offer programming for newborn through high school. To learn more about our children’s and youth ministries, click here.
