The Path

Whether you are new to Christianity or you are a mature Christian, “The Path” is set up to help you along your journey. Find your point of progress out of those listed below.

You are loved more than you can ever know. God, the creator of the universe, loves you and has a plan for your life. He made you – on purpose and with a purpose. He knows you need help. He knows you can’t do it on your own – that’s why He sent Jesus. The way to experience God’s love and know His plans is through Jesus. If you are ready to take the next step and accept Jesus, pray this prayer verbally and with faith:

“Dear Jesus, I admit I am a sinner and ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I believe you are the Son of God and I confess you to be Lord of my life. I commit my life to you and give you my past, present and future. Take my life and use it. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Amen.”

If you have accepted Christ into your heart or if you have questions about God’s plan for your life, let us know! Please contact us and put FIRST STEP in the subject line.

New believers are often compared to babies, meaning we are not yet mature Christians. Just like babies need milk to nourish them and not a big juicy steak, a new Christian needs to take small steps to develop their knowledge of God. The Path will help direct you along those steps. Psalm 119:105 says, “ Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” After you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, it is natural to want to grow closer to Him and learn more about Him and about being a Christian.

Membership classes help answer questions regarding baptism, the Holy Spirit, service, and more. These classes are a great way to continue your spiritual journey and to join a church on purpose. The classes are broken into three courses, listed below.

  • NEXT STEPS 1 – iCommit You first commit your life to Jesus and then join yourself to a Body of Believers. This class covers the history and vision of SIWC and sets the groundwork for our culture and doctrinal beliefs.
  • NEXT STEPS 2 – iServe This class introduces you to ways that you can serve at SIWC. You also take a Gifts Assessment test to help you better understand your gifts and help us direct you to areas of iServe where you best fit.
  • NEXT STEPS 3 – iGrow A relationship to God is about continual growth in our relationship to and knowledge of Jesus. This class covers basic teaching on how to begin to grow in our relationship to God. Some of the areas taught in this class are prayer, fasting, bible study, communion, water baptism and more.

To sign up for membership classes, log into our InFellowship portal by clicking the button shown on the right. This portal allows you access to register for classes, events and community groups. If you do not yet have an InFellowship account, you may create one by clicking the InFellowship button.

Service is a big part of our spiritual growth. We call this step iServe. It is through serving that we learn what it means to love one another. We also make connections with others that can lead to friendship. To learn all the areas that are available through iServe and to sign up to use your gifts, click here.

Core classes are a big part of the “equip” portion of our vision. From marriage to parenting and finances, core classes offer biblical advice on the issues that affect most everyone. Community groups offer additional areas to learn and grow along with others just like you. There are also community groups that get together just because of like hobbies and interests. Finally, there are community groups that are there to help in the area of healing wounds from addictions to loss of a loved one. There is a community group for everyone. Check out the groups for yourself by clicking here.
